Apr 2015 – Ewan and Fabian’s Wedding

This month Ewan and Fabian were married at the charming St Leonard’s Gardens in Takapuna on Auckland’s North Shore. They chose an “Alice in Wonderland” theme which added a creative and fun spin to the day. Their care and attention showed in every little detail, not least in Fabian’s beautiful and abundant flowers. The weather was…

2015 Kempo Tournament

This weekend was my first time competing at kempo in over 10 years! I got to judge for the first time and photograph as well. What a day! We were all exhausted by the end of it but it was great. There was a very high standard of competition and sportmanship, fantastic to see. The…

Jes’ 21st, Auckland

On Saturday night I was lucky enough to photograph a 21st birthday party (a very big deal in New Zealand!).   Jes is a lovely young woman with an equally lovely family. What a great night!

Auckland Lantern Festival

Last night I took my very excited eldest daughter Jade to check out Albert Park. She was buzzing at being out after her bedtime and loved the crowds, the gift stands, the beautiful lanterns, the dancing performances, the dragons and seeing the Sky Tower all lit up. We gave up on trying to order food…

Fun trip to Piha last night with Lauren, Andy and Nicky. Piha is one of the most beautiful, wild, moody and dramatic beaches in New Zealand. We’re so lucky to live close to it. And the sunset just went on and on!

Raglan – Waikato, New Zealand

A wonderful three nights in Raglan with my two girls and my Mum. Mum lives in New Plymouth so it’s a great halfway meeting point from Auckland. We stayed in the magical Rua Totara – a rustic little original bach oozing with charm and with its own resident lizards.

Matarangi, Coromandel Peninsula

A fantastic weekend away earlier this month in the Coromandel (at Matarangi). Sun, sand, surf, wine, kids, good friends…

Chong and Carolin’s Wedding – December 2014

I was privileged to be asked by my good friends Chong and Carolin to photograph their utterly lovely wedding. This wedding was truly an international affair with the ceremony and a reception taking place in Auckland, to be followed by parties in Germany and China for the friends and family that couldn’t be in New…

Jack and Katrina’s Wedding – March 2007

I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph this special day in 2007. The sun shone brilliantly for us and the day was happy and relaxed from start to finish. The reception was held at the beautiful Wellington Museum of City and Sea. Wonderful!
